FREEWAY CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENTS
(Houston, Texas)-Expect delays in the vicinity of the I-10/I-610 interchange over the course of the next 7 days due to multiple lane closures for the reconstruction of both freeways beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct 10*. A list of the scheduled closures is provided below. Additionally, effective Saturday, October 11 the I-10 westbound exit to the US 290 HOV and Northwest Transit Center will be permanently closed due to construction. The designated detour to the Northwest Transit Center from I-10 westbound is to exit Washington Avenue turn right onto Washington Avenue and proceed to Old Katy Road for access to the transit center. Signage will be provided to direct traffic.
• The shoulder of the direct connector of I-10 westbound to I-610 northbound will be closed Friday October 10 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m.
• The shoulder and one right lane on I-10 westbound from North Durham to I-610 will be closed Saturday, October 11, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Two alternate lanes of I-610 from I-10 to US 290, including the I-10 eastbound and westbound direct connectors to I-610, will be closed Monday, October 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
• Two inside lanes on I-610 northbound from San Felipe to US 290 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, October 13 thru Saturday, October 18.
• Alternate lanes of I-610 southbound from US 290 to San Felipe, including associated entrance and exit ramps, will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday, October 14 thru Saturday, October 18.
*Construction crews in this vicinity (Contract F) will not work Sunday, October 12 from Midnight to 11:59 p.m.
REMINDERS**
The cross freeway drainage culvert installation work will resume this weekend (October 10) when alternate lanes of I-10 and the frontage roads will closed between SH 6 and Park Ten starting at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 10 until 5 a.m. Sunday. (Contract B)
Nightly closures from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Grand Parkway and the Harris-Fort Bend County Line to complete the asphalt overlay on the westbound mainlanes of I-10. (Contract A)
