Ramps to Fry Road Now Closed

RAMPS TO FRY ROAD OVERPASS NOW CLOSED
(Houston, Texas) – Effective today, October 11, 2004, the I-10 westbound frontage road ramps that lead to and from the I-10 overpass at Fry Road are closed. This closure will be in effect for approximately 3 months in preparation for the total closure of the Fry Road overpass for reconstruction of the intersection. Total closure of the Fry Road overpass is targeted to take place in January 2005. A diagram of the designated detours detailed below can be viewed on the Katy Freeway Program website at http://www.katyfreeway.org/Fry_Detour/Fry_Road_Detour.html.
• Traffic destined to Fry Road north of I-10 from I-10 westbound will be detoured via temporary at-grade access ramps from the westbound frontage road.
• Traffic from I-10 westbound destined to Fry Road south of I-10 will be detoured along the I-10 westbound frontage road to U-turn at Westgreen to access Fry Road from the eastbound frontage road.
• Traffic coming from Fry Road on the south side of I-10 destined for I-10 westbound will be detoured via the eastbound frontage road to make a U-turn at Greenhouse to enter I-10 westbound east of Fry.
