SH 99 Under I-10 Mainlanes Now Open

Balfour Beatty Construction successfully completed their milestone to restore cross corridor traffic at SH 99 effective as of 1PM today, March 3. The SH 99 bridge over I-10 was taken out of service on February 16th and the contractor had a total of 37 days in which to re-store north/south travel at SH 99. In just over half the allocated time, the contractor has completed the construction of the new I-10 mainlane bridge over SH 99 and the new SH 99 southbound frontage road. Consequently, the contractor will collect the maximum incentive of $500, 0000. SH 99 northbound and southbound traffic is now placed on the new southbound frontage road until the contractor completes the new SH 99 northbound frontage.
