Traffic Changes in the Vicinity of I-10 and Fry Road

Effective yesterday, June 16th at 4 PM, TxDOT converted the access roads, also referred to as bell ramps, on the south side of I-10 at Fry Road to two-traffic eastbound and westbound with a centerlane dedicated for left-turning movements. This new traffic configuration is an element of the final design of the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program and will allow improved mobility and access to the local businesses and parking area in the vicinity of Fry Road. Similar traffic changes will be made at Mason Road and Barker Cypress upon the reconstruction of the existing overpasses.
