Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of July 28, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• Total closure of KATY FORT BEND ROAD northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, July 29 to 5 AM, Saturday, July 30. Detour to Pin Oak or SH-99.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of BARKER CYPRESS northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed continuously from 9:00 AM, Friday, July 29 to 5:00 PM, Wednesday, August 3.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Beltway 8 Interchange) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound between GESSNER and KIRKWOOD and the corresponding entrance and exit ramps will be closed beginning 9 PM, Friday, July 29 until 5 AM, Monday, August 1. (The Beltway 8 northbound and southbound to I-10 westbound direct connector ramps will remain open during this time).
• The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and GESSNER, plus the I-10 eastbound entrance and exit ramps just before GESSNER, will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, July 29 until 5 AM, Saturday, July 30.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• Two outside lanes of ANTOINE southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed continuously from 9:00 AM, Tuesday, August 2 until August 7.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Thursday, July 28 to 5:00 AM, Friday, July 30. Detour to IH 610 northbound to West 18th Street and u-turn to IH 610 southbound.
Please note that all closures are subject to change due to inclement weather.
