Update To This Week's Katy Closures
Tuesday, Aug 9th, 2005
Below is an updated list of the closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of August 9, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound at KATY FORT BEND RD will be closed on Wednesday, August 10 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
• Alternate lanes of Katy Fort Bend Road northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Wednesday, August 10 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• One outside lane of Barker Cypress northbound and southbound from I-10/KATY FREEWAY to PARK ROW in Katy will be closed starting 8 AM, Wednesday, August 10 until further notice.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to Mason Road will be closed Tuesday, August 9 and Wednesday, August 10 from 8 PM to 5 AM. Detour to SH 99 (Grand Parkway).
• Alternate lanes of Mason Road northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY in Katy will be closed on Wednesday, August 10 from 8 AM to 6 PM.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The outside lane of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound frontage Road from POST OAK RD to BUFFALO BAYOU will be closed continuously until 3 PM, Tuesday, August 16.
• The inside lane of POST OAK eastbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed continuously until 3 PM, Tuesday, August 16.
• The inside lane of I-610/WEST southbound from I-10 KATY to POST OAK RD will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM from Tuesday, August 9 to Friday, August 12.

CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 Interchange) CLOSURES
The I-10/I-610 Interchange contractor anticipates performing a major traffic switch on I-610 northbound between San Felipe and US 290 over the course of next weekend Friday, August 12 thru Monday, August 15. More details forthcoming.
