This Weekend's Katy Freeway Closures -- Aug.12 -15, 2005 |

Below is a list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program for the weekend of August 12-15, 2005.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• One outside lane of Barker Cypress northbound and southbound from I-10/KATY FREEWAY to PARK ROW in Katy is closed until further notice.
• The outside lane and shoulder of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from WESTGREEN to MASON will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday, August 15 to Wednesday, August 17.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• Two outside lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from CAMPBELL RD to GESSNER DR will be closed on Saturday, August 13 from 5:30 AM to noon.
• There will be a total closure of FRIES ROAD northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, August 12 to 4:30 AM, Monday, August 15. Detour at Bace Road westbound to Campbell southbound to IH 10 frontage road westbound.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from ANTOINE DR to WIRT ROAD will be closed Friday, August 12 from 9 PM to 5 AM. Detour at Antoine northbound to Westview westbound to Wirt southbound to I-10 frontage road westbound.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-610/WEST LOOP northbound between SAN FELIPE and US 290, including the corresponding entrance and exits ramps in the area, will be closed over the course of this weekend beginning Friday night at 9 PM until Monday morning at 5 AM.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramps to I-10/KATY FREEWAY east- and westbound will be closed Friday night at 9 PM until Monday morning at 5 AM. Detour to I-610 northbound to exit West 18th Street and u-turn to access I-10 eastbound and westbound via the I-610 southbound direct connectors.
• The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound will be closed Friday night at 9 PM until Saturday morning at 5 AM. Motorists should detour to exit Washington and turn back to access I-610 northbound via the I-10 westbound direct connector.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound entrance ramp from POST OAK will be closed continuously from midnight, Friday, August 12 to 5:00 AM, Tuesday, August 16. Detour to the San Felipe entrance ramp.
• There will be a total closure of OLD KATY ROAD eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP from 2 AM, Saturday, August 13 to 5 AM, Monday, August 15. Eastbound detour to N. Post Oak, to Hempstead, to the Washington split; westbound detour to the northbound frontage road and u-turn.
• The outside lane of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound frontage Road from POST OAK RD to BUFFALO BAYOU will be closed continuously until 3 PM, Tuesday, August 16.
• The inside lane of POST OAK eastbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed continuously until 3 PM, Tuesday, August 16.
• The inside lane of I-610/WEST southbound from I-10 KATY to POST OAK RD will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM from Tuesday, August 9 to Friday, August 12.
