Total Closure of I-10 WB Frontage Road at Texas 6

3 DAY TOTAL CLOSURE OF THE INTERSECTION OF THE I-10 WESTBOUND FRONTAGE ROAD AND TEXAS 6
(Houston) –The Texas Department of Transportation's contractor for the I-10/Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program between Texas 6/SH 6 and Dairy Ashford will close the I-10 westbound exit ramp to Texas 6 and the intersection of the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage and Texas 6 from 9 PM Friday, September 30 until 9 PM Monday, October 3. The total closure of the intersection is required to allow the contractor to perform work in the intersection to prepare for the opening of the new I-10 westbound frontage road from Langham Creek to west of SH 6. The designated detours for this closure are provided below.
• I-10 westbound traffic destined to Texas 6 northbound and southbound will be detoured to exit Park Ten and make a U-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access Texas 6.
• Northbound and southbound Texas 6 traffic destined to I-10 westbound will be detoured via the I-10 eastbound frontage road to U-turn at Eldridge to access I-10 westbound.
Each of the closures and the designated detours discussed above will be indicated with advance notice signage and police officers will be on-duty to assist in the direction of traffic.
