Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of October 7, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at KATY FORT BEND RD will be closed overnight from 7:00 PM, Friday, October 7 to 8:00 AM, Saturday, October 8.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road access ramps to the BARKER CYPRESS OVERPASS are permanently closed for reconstruction. Westbound to northbound Barker Cypress detour to temporary ramp to Barker Cypress. Westbound to southbound Barker Cypress detour to Greenhouse Road and u-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Barker Cypress southbound. CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• There will be a total closure of northbound and southbound WILCREST at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9:00 PM, Friday, October 7 to 5:00 AM, Monday, October 10. Northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Gessner and u-turn to the westbound frontage road to Wilcrest; southbound detour to the westbound frontage road to Kirkwood southbound, to the eastbound frontage road to Wilcrest.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY HOV LANE eastbound and westbound from WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST to SH-6. will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, October 7 to 5:00 AM, Monday, October 10.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• Northbound CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY is clsoed until 5:00 AM, Monday, November 7. Detour to the eastbound frontage road and u-turn at Bingle/Voss to access the westbound frontage road and Campbell.
• The outside lane I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from BLALOCK RD/ECHO LN to CAMPBELL RD will be closed overnight from 10:00 PM, Monday, October 10 to 5:00 AM, Tuesday, October 11.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage roads from SILBER RD to POST OAK will be closed daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through Saturday, October 15.
