Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of December 9, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from KATY FORT BEND RD to SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY will be closed overnight from 7 PM, Friday, December 9 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 10.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from KATY FORT BEND will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Friday, December 9 to 8 AM, Saturday, December 10. Detour to SH-99 entrance ramp.
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from PIN OAK to SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY will be closed overnight from 9:30 PM, Friday, December 9 to 8 AM, Saturday, December 10.
• One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from KATY FORT BEND RD to SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY will be closed on Saturday, December 10 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramps from MASON ROAD and SH 99-GRAND PARKWAY will be closed overnight from 9:30 PM, Sunday, December 11 to 5 AM, Monday, December 12. Detour via the frontage road to the Katy-Fort Bend entrance.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from MASON ROAD to the KATY FORT BEND ENTRANCE RAMP overnight from 9:30 PM, Sunday, December 11 to 5 AM, Monday, December 12. Detour to the westbound frontage road to the main lanes.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between PARK TEN and GREENHOUSE and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from SH 6 will be closed from 9 PM, Monday, December 12 until 5 AM, Tuesday, December 13. Motorists destined for I-10 westbound will enter the freeway west of Barker Cypress.
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between SH 99 and MASON ROAD will be closed from 9 PM, Monday, December 19 until 5 AM, Tuesday, December 20.
• The I-10 eastbound exit ramp to MASON ROAD will be closed effective 9 PM, Friday, December 19 until further notice. Detour via the I-10 eastbound exit to SH 99.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• Effective Wednesday, December 14 the dedicated left turn lanes of southbound Eldridge at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed until March 2006.
