Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures --Updated |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of December 12, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
One lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at KATY FORT BEND ROAD will be closed Tuesday, December 13 from 10 AM to 5 PM.
One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound at KATY FORT BEND ROAD will be closed on Tuesday, December 13 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound and eastbound at KATY FORT BEND ROAD will be closed nightly from 7 PM to 5 AM, starting Tuesday, December 13 through Friday, December 16.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between PARK TEN and GREENHOUSE and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from SH 6 will be closed from 9 PM, Wednesday*, December 14 until 5 AM, Thursday, December 15. Motorists destined for I-10 westbound will enter the freeway west of Barker Cypress. (*PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY NIGHT 12/12/05)
Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between SH 99 and MASON ROAD will be closed from 9 PM, Monday, December 19 until 5 AM, Tuesday, December 20.
The I-10 eastbound exit ramp to MASON ROAD will be closed effective 9 PM, Friday, December 19 until further notice. Detour via the I-10 eastbound exit to SH 99.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
One inside lane of SH 6 northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly from 8 PM until 5 AM, starting Monday, December 12 through Friday, December 16.
Effective Wednesday, December 14 the dedicated left turn lanes of southbound ELDRIDGE PARKWAY at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed until March 2006.
CONTRACT C2 (Dairy Ashford to east of Kirkwood) CLOSURES
There is a moving total closure of OLD KATY ROAD eastbound and westbound BETWEEN DRIVEWAYS from KIRKWOOD to east of OAK STREAM through Monday, January 16. Access to all businesses and residential property in the area will be maintained via the designated I-10/Katy Freeway frontage road detours.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Belway 8 Interchange)CLOSURES
One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from GESSNER DR to BELTWAY 8-WEST will be closed overnight from 10 PM, Monday, December 12 to 2 AM, Tuesday, December 13.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY HOV lane will be closed this weekend starting 8 PM, Friday, December 16 until 5 AM, Monday, December 19.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from GESSNER to CAMPBELL will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, December 16 until 10 AM, Saturday, December 17.
