This Weekend's Closures - December 15 - 19, 2005 |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of December 15, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• The inside lane of I-10 eastbound and westbound from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to KATY-FORT BEND ROAD will be closed Friday, December 16 from 9:30 AM to 3 PM.
• Alternate lanes of I-10 westbound from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to PIN OAK will be closed from 7 PM, Friday, December 16 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 17.
• Alternate lanes of I-10 westbound from MASON ROAD to KATY-FORT BEND ROAD will be closed from 7 PM, Sunday, December 18 to 5 AM, Monday, December 19.
• The outside lane of I-10 westbound at KATY-FORT BEND ROAD will be closed from 7 PM, Monday night, December 19 until 5 AM, Tuesday, December 20.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between PARK TEN and GREENHOUSE and the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from SH 6 will be closed from 9 PM, Thursday*, December 15 until 5 AM, Friday, December 16. Motorists destined for I-10 westbound will enter the freeway west of Barker Cypress. (*PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY NIGHT 12/14/05)
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between SH 99 and MASON ROAD will be closed from 9 PM, Thursday, December 22* until 5 AM, Friday, December 23. (*PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR 12/19/05)
• The I-10 eastbound exit ramp to MASON ROAD will be closed effective 9 PM, Friday, December 23* until further notice. Detour via the I-10 eastbound exit to SH 99. (*PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR 12/19/05)
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• The dedicated left turn lanes of southbound ELDRIDGE PARKWAY at I-10/KATY FREEWAY are closed until March 2006.
CONTRACT C2 (Dairy Ashford to east of Kirkwood) CLOSURES
• There is a moving total closure of OLD KATY ROAD eastbound and westbound BETWEEN DRIVEWAYS from KIRKWOOD to east of OAK STREAM through Monday, January 16. Access to all businesses and residential property in the area will be maintained via the designated I-10/Katy Freeway frontage road detours.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Belway 8 Interchange)CLOSURES
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from WILCREST to KIRKWOOD will be closed overnight from 10 PM, Friday, December 16 to 5 AM, Saturday, December 17.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY HOV lane will be closed this weekend starting 8 PM, Friday, December 16 until 5 AM, Monday, December 19.
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from KIRKWOOD to GESSNER will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, December 16 until 5 AM, Monday, December 20.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from GESSNER to CAMPBELL will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, December 16 until 10 AM, Saturday, December 17.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-610/West Loop northbound direct connector ramps to I-10 eastbound and westbound will be closed nightly Friday, December 16 and Saturday, December 17 from 10 PM until 10 AM. Detour to I-610 northbound, exit at 18th Street and U-turn to access I-610 southbound to access I-10 eastbound or westbound.
