Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of December 20, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• The outside lane of US 90 westbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Wednesday, December 21 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound to eastbound U-TURN at US 90 on Wednesday, December 21 from 7 AM to 5 PM
• Alternate lanes of I-10 eastbound at PIN OAK will be closed Wednesday, December 21 from 9:30 AM to 3 PM
• The outside lane of I-10 westbound at KATY-FORT BEND ROAD will be closed Wednesday, December 21 from 9:30 AM to 3 PM and overnight from 7 PM until 5 AM.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at Barker Cypress will be closed Wednesday, December 21 from 9 AM until 3 PM.
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between SH 99 and MASON ROAD will be closed from 9 PM, Tuesday, December 27* until 5 AM, Wednesday, December 28. (*PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR 12/22/05)
• The I-10 eastbound exit ramps to MASON ROAD* and WESTGREEN will be closed effective 9 PM, Tuesday, December 27 until further notice. Detour via the I-10 eastbound exit to Fry Road and make a u-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to access both Mason Road and Westgreen. (*PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED FOR 12/23/05)
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• The outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed Wednesday, December 21 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• The inside lane of SH 6 southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM, Tuesday, December 20 to Friday, December 23
Two inside lanes of SH 6 southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly 8 PM to 5 AM from Tuesday, December 20 to Thursday, December 22.
CONTRACT C2 (Dairy Ashford to east of Kirkwood) CLOSURES
• The inside lane of northbound KIRKWOOD will be closed Wednesday, December 21 from 9 AM to 3PM
• There is a moving total closure of OLD KATY ROAD eastbound and westbound BETWEEN DRIVEWAYS from KIRKWOOD to east of OAK STREAM through Monday, January 16. Access to all businesses and residential property in the area will be maintained via the designated I-10/Katy Freeway frontage road detours.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Belway 8 Interchange)CLOSURES
T• he inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from WILCREST DR to BRITTMOORE will be closed daily (Excluding the Weekends) from 9 AM to 3 PM, Wednesday, December 21 to Tuesday, January 3, 2006
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM from Wednesday, December 21 to Thursday, December 22. Detour to I-610 northbound, exit at 18th Street and U-turn to access I-610 southbound.
