Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of December 30, 2005.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
Traffic will be switched onto the new I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between east of Silber to west of Antoine, Saturday December 31. Motorists should anticipate various traffic movement changes the vicinity of the I-10 westbound exit to SILBER. Follow posted signage.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from SILBER will be closed continuously from 7 AM, Saturday, December 31 until 5 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2006. Detour to the Antoine Road entrance ramp
The right lane I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from east of I-610/WEST LOOP to WASHINGTON AVENUE will be closed overnight from 9 PM Monday, January 2, 2006 to 5 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2006,
The right lane I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from I-610/WEST LOOP to WIRT ROAD will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2006 to 5 AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2006 and from 9 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2006 to 5 AM, Friday, January 6, 2006.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2006 to 5 AM, Friday, January 6, 2006.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY east- and westbound will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Wednesday, January 4, 2006 to 5 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2006. Detour to I-610 northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound, to I-10 eastbound or westbound.
One lane of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY east- and westbound will be closed continuously from 5 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2006 to 5 PM, Sunday, December 31, 2006. One lane will remain open to I-10/Katy Freeway east- and westbound.
