Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of January 12, 2006.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• The left lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at KATY FORT BEND will be closed on Friday, January 13 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between GREENHOUSE and PARK TEN will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Friday, January 13 to 5 AM, Saturday, January 14.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from GREENHOUSE will be closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, January 13 to 5 PM, Saturday, April 1. Enter I-10 at Park Ten.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to PARK TEN will be closed continuously from 9 AM, Friday, January 13 to 5 PM, Saturday, April 1. Exit Barker Cypress to access the eastbound frontage road.
• The new at-grade intersection of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at MASON ROAD is scheduled to open to northbound and southbound traffic on Friday, January 13, 2006.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• There will be a total closure the INTERSECTION of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at SH 6 on Saturday, January 14 from 9 AM to 6 PM. Southbound detour via the westbound frontage road to Park Ten and U-turn to the eastbound frontage road to access SH 6 southbound; northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Eldridge and U-turn to westbound to access SH 6 northbound.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be a total closure the INTERSECTION of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at BLALOCK from 9 PM, Friday, January 13 to 6 PM, Saturday, January 14. Southbound detour via the westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill and U-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Blalock southbound; northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Campbell and U-turn to westbound to Blalock northbound.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound will be closed Saturday, January 14 from 4 AM to 1 PM. Traffic should continue westbound to Wirt Road and u-turn to I-10 eastbound to I-610 northbound and southbound.
• One alternate lane of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound frontage road from MEMORIAL DR to POST OAK BLVD. will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound frontage road U-TURN at OLD KATY RD is closed until 3 PM, Saturday, April 1. Detour to Old Katy Rd.
• One alternate lane of OLD KATY ROAD eastbound and westbound from SILBER to WASHINGTON will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• Alternate lanes of WOODWAY eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• One alternate lane of POST OAK eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• One alternate lane of MEMORIAL eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
