MASON ROAD INTERSECTION NOW OPEN

THE NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND LANES OF MASON ROAD UNDER I-10 ARE NOW OPEN
(Houston)—The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is excited to announce the opening of the new Mason Road intersection under I-10. This new at-grade intersection will significantly increase mobility and improve turning movements for residents, businesses and commuters in the West Houston area.
Also tonight, the contractor will switch traffic onto the new I-10 eastbound mainlanes over Barker Cypress. To complete this switch, alternate lanes of I-10 eastbound will be closed tonight, Friday, January 13 until 5 am, Saturday, January 14. Additionally the I-10 eastbound entrance from Greenhouse and the exit ramp to Park Ten will be closed effective 9 PM tonight until April 1, 2006. Motorists will be detoured to enter I-10 east of Barker Cypress. To access the I-10 eastbound frontage road motorists can use the Barker Cypress and Park Ten exits. The northbound and southbound lanes of Barker Cypress are scheduled to open later this month.
