Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of January 19, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• The left lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at KATY FORT BEND will be closed on Friday, January 20 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternating TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes of MASON at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, January 20 to 3 AM Saturday, January 21. Northbound detour to Westgreen; southbound detour to SH 99/Grand Parkway.
• The right lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound and the westbound entrance ramp from GREENHOUSE will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Sunday, January 22 to 5 AM, Monday, January 23.
• The right lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound and the westbound entrance ramp from BARKER CYPRESS will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Sunday, January 22 to 5 AM, Monday, January 23.
• The right lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound and the westbound entrance ramp from Fry will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Sunday, January 22 to 5 AM, Monday, January 23.
• Two left lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound at WESTGREEN and FRY ROAD will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Monday, January 23 to 5 AM, Tuesday, January 24.
• Two left lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at FRY ROAD and WESTGREEN will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Tuesday, January 24 to 5 AM, Wednesday, January 25.
• Two left lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes from WESTGREEN to FRY ROAD will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Wednesday, January 25 to 5 AM, Thursday, January 26.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to west of Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• The dedicated left-turn lanes of Eldridge northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed effective Monday, January 23 until further notice.
• The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at SH-6 will be closed Friday, January 20 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• One alternating lane of SH 6 southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed Friday, January 20 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT C2 (West of Dairy Ashford to KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
• The inside lane KIRKWOOD northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed Friday, January 20 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• One lane of WIRT ROAD northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed continuously from 9 AM, Friday, January 20 to 5 PM, Thursday, February 2.
• The I-10 eastbound and westbound U-TURNS at BUNKER HILL will be closed effective 7 AM, Saturday, January 21 until further notice. Detour to the signalized intersection.
• There will be a total closure the INTERSECTION of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at CAMPBELL from 9 PM, Friday, January 27 to 6 PM, Saturday, January 28. Southbound detour via the westbound frontage road to Blalock and U-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Bingle southbound; northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Campbell and U-turn to westbound to Blalock northbound.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY east- and westbound will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Thursday, January 19 to 5 AM, Friday, January 20. Detour to I-610 northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound, to I-10 eastbound or westbound.
• One alternate lane of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound frontage road from MEMORIAL DR to POST OAK BLVD. will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound frontage road U-TURN at OLD KATY RD is closed until 3 PM, Saturday, April 1. Detour to Old Katy Rd.
• One alternate lane of OLD KATY ROAD eastbound and westbound from SILBER to WASHINGTON will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• Alternate lanes of WOODWAY eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• One alternate lane of POST OAK eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• One alternate lane of MEMORIAL eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
