Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of January 26, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• The left lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at KATY FORT BEND will be closed on Friday, January 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at KATY FORT BEND Road will be closed on Friday, January 27 from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to MASON ROAD will be closed until 5 PM, Tuesday, January 31. Detour the I-10 eastbound exit to SH 99/Grand Parkway.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from GREENHOUSE will be closed until 5 PM, Saturday, April 1. Enter I-10 at Park Ten.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to PARK TEN will be closed 5 PM, Saturday, April 1. Exit Barker Cypress to access the eastbound frontage road; to access the north side of I-10 exit SH-6 and u-turn.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to west of Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of ELDRIDGE northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed until 5 PM, Tuesday, March 7.
• One alternating lane of SH 6 southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed Friday, January 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT C2 (West of Dairy Ashford to KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
• The inside lane KIRKWOOD northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed Friday, January 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• The inside lane DAIRY ASHFORD northbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed Friday, January 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• Alternate lanes DAIRY ASHFORD southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed Friday, January 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• Effective January 31, OLD KATY ROAD will be permanently converted from a two-way roadway to a WESTBOUND ONLY roadway between east of Kirkwood to Dairy Ashford. Accordingly, Old Katy Road will be westbound only from east of Silber to Dairy Ashford.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• One lane of WIRT ROAD northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed until 5 PM, Thursday, February 2.
• One lane of BINGLE northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed until 5 PM, Monday, February 6.
• The I-10 eastbound and westbound U-TURNS at BUNKER HILL will be closed until further notice. Detour to the signalized intersection.
• There will be a total closure the INTERSECTION of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at CAMPBELL from 9 PM, Friday, January 27 to 6 PM, Saturday, January 28. Southbound detour via the westbound frontage road to Blalock and U-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Campbell southbound; northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Bingle and U-turn to westbound to Campbell northbound.
There will be a nightly total closure of ANTOINE northbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY (excluding Sunday(s)) from 9 PM to 5 AM from Thursday, January 26 to Tuesday, January 31. Detour on the eastbound frontage road to Silber, through the intersection to the westbound frontage road to Antoine
• There will be a total closure the INTERSECTION of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at ANTOINE from 9 PM, Friday, February 3 to 6 PM, Saturday, February 4. Southbound detour via the westbound frontage road to Wirt and U-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Antoine southbound; northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Silber and turn back westbound to Blalock northbound.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• There will be a total closure of Woodway eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP from 9 PM, Friday, January 27 to noon, Saturday, January 28. Westbound traffic take the northbound frontage road to Memorial and u-turn to southbound frontage road; eastbound traffic take the southbound frontage road to Post Oak and u-turn to the northbound frontage road.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound will be closed nightly from 9PM to 5 AM, Tuesday, January 31 and Wednesday, February 1. Detour to I-610 southbound, exit Post Oak and turn back to northbound frontage road to enter I-610 northbound.
• One alternate lane of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound frontage road from MEMORIAL DR to POST OAK BLVD. will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound frontage road U-TURN at OLD KATY RD will be closed until 3 PM, Saturday, April 1. Detour to Old Katy Rd.
• One alternate lane of OLD KATY ROAD eastbound and westbound from SILBER to WASHINGTON will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• Alternate lanes of WOODWAY eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• One alternate lane of POST OAK eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
• One alternate lane of MEMORIAL eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, April 1.
