Upcoming I-10 Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of February 3, 2005.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at KATY FORT BEND RD will be closed daily from 7 AM to 5 PM, Friday, February 3 to Monday, February 5 (Excluding Sunday).
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10 eastbound and westbound U-TURNS at US 90 Monday, February 6 from 7 AM to 3 PM. Detour to the signalized intersection.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at MASON RD will be closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, February 3 until 5 AM, Monday, February 6.
• Two alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at PARK TEN will be closed on Sunday, February 5 from 6 AM to noon.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to west of Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• There will be a daily closure of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound to eastbound frontage road U-turn at SH-6 from 9 AM to 3 PM, from Friday, February 3 through Sunday, February 5.
One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at SH-6 will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM, from Friday, February 3 through Wednesday, February 8.
CONTRACT C2 (West of Dairy Ashford to KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of OLD KATY ROAD from TRI OAKS to OAK STREAM will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM, from Friday, February 3 through Saturday, February 11.
• There will be a total closure of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between DAIRY ASHFORD and ELDRIDGE effective 6 AM, Monday, February 6 until March 21. Motorists will be detoured via the I-10 westbound auxiliary lane. The I-10 westbound exit ramp to Eldridge will remain open.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Beltway 8 Interchange) CLOSURES
• There will be a total closure of the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road at I-10 KATY overnight from 8 PM, Saturday, February 4 to 7 AM, Sunday, February 5. Detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Gessner and u-turn to the westbound frontage road to Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be a total closure the INTERSECTION of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at ANTOINE from 9 PM, Friday, February 3 to 6 PM, Saturday, February 4. Southbound detour via the westbound frontage road to Wirt and U-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Antoine southbound; northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Silber and turn back westbound to Blalock northbound.
• There will be nightly total closures of northbound and southbound BUNKER HILL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM to 5 AM through Friday, February 10 (Excluding Sunday, February 5). Southbound detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner and u-turn to I-10 eastbound to Bunker Hill; northbound detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Campbell and turn back to I-10 westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill.
• There will be nightly total closures of northbound and southbound BLALOCK at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM to 5 AM starting Monday, February 6 through Saturday, February 11. Southbound detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Gessner and u-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to access to Blalock ; northbound detour via the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Campbell and turn back to I-10 westbound frontage road to Blalock.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM from Monday, February 6 through Saturday, February 11. Detour to I-10 westbound to Wirt and U-turn to access I-10 eastbound.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM from Monday, February 6 through Saturday, February 11. Detour to I-610 northbound, exit at 18th Street and U-turn to access I-610 southbound.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM from Wednesday, February 8 to Friday, February 10. Traffic should continue eastbound to the Washington/Westcott exit and u-turn to the westbound main lanes to I-610 northbound and southbound.
• The right lane of NORTH POST OAK northbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM, from Tuesday, February 7 through Friday, February 10..
