Reminder -- I-10 EB to I-610NB Closed Through May 2006

TxDOT's contractor for the construction in the vicinity of the I-10/I-610 Interchange has completed the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound mainlanes traffic switch to place traffic on new pavement between Silber and I-610/West Loop. The I-10 eastbound mainlanes between Bingle and I-610 are now open. Additionally, the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop southbound is now open.
As a reminder, the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound will remain closed through the month of May 2006. The designated detour for motorists on I-10 eastbound destined to I-610 northbound will be to continue eastbound to exit at Washington Avenue and U-turn to access I-610 northbound from I-10 westbound.
