This Weekend's Closures - April 7-10, 2006 |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of April 6, 2006.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound at KATY FORT BEND ROAD will be closed on Friday, April 7 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY will be closed on Friday, April 7 from 9 AM to 5 PM
• Alternate lanes of US 90 eastbound and westbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Friday, April 7 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• The westbound to eastbound U-TURN at SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8. Detour to the signalized intersection.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• The DIAMOND LANE of I-10/KATY FREEEWAY westbound from BARKER CYPRESS to MASON will be closed daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, until Friday, April 14.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at ELDRIDGE PARKWAY from 9 PM, Friday, April 7 to 9 PM, Monday, April 10. Westbound u-turn at Eldridge to the eastbound lanes to Kirkwood, then u-turn to access the I-10 westbound main lanes. Detour to Dairy Ashford to access to Eldridge northbound and southbound.
CONTRACT C2 (Dairy Ashford to east of Kirkwood) CLOSURES
• The inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from TRI OAKS to WEST TRI OAKS will be closed on Friday, April 7 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of GESSNER northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed through April 11.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE)
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound between SILBER and WASHINGTON AVENUE from 9 PM, Friday, April 7 to 5 AM, Monday, April 10. Eastbound traffic detour to I-610 southbound, to San Felipe and u-turn to I-610 northbound, to I-10 eastbound; westbound detour to I- 610 northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound, to I-10 westbound. • The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, April 7 to 5 AM, Monday, April 10. • The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, April 7 to 5 AM, Monday, April 10. • There is a long term closure of I-10 eastbound to I-610 northbound until late May 2006. This weekend detour to I-610 southbound frontage road to San Felipe and u-turn to northbound I- 610. View the detour map for this closure at http://www.katyfreeway.org/I-610NB/I-10_Totalclosure_407DC.html
