Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of May 5, 2006.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from MASON RD to PIN OAK will be closed nightly from 7 PM to 5 AM from Thursday, May 4 to Friday, May 5.
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to PIN OAK will be closed daily (Excluding Sunday(s)) (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM) from Friday, May 5 to Friday, May 12.
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound at KATY FORT BEND RD will be closed daily from 7 AM to 5 PM from Monday, May 8 to Friday, May 12.
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from KATY FORT BEND RD to US 90 will be closed on Saturday, May 6 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
• Alternate lanes of US 90 eastbound and westbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Saturday, May 6 from 8 AM to 2 PM.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Two inside lanes and the diamond lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to SH-6 will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Friday, May 5 to 5 AM, Saturday, May 6.
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to SH-6, plus alternate entrance and exit ramps will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Saturday, May 6 to 9 AM, Sunday, May 7. Detour to the next ramp.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to west of Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound to westbound U-TURN at ELDRIDGE PARKWAY from 9 AM, Monday, May 8 to 5 PM, Monday, May 29. Detour to the signalized intersection.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Beltway 8 Interchange) CLOSURES
• One alternate lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from GESSNER DR to KIRKWOOD RD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Friday, May 26.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from GESSNER DR to BUNKER HILL will be closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, May 5 to 9 PM, Saturday, May 6.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE)
• The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM starting Monday, May 8 to Friday, May 19. Detour to IH 10 eastbound to the Washington/Westcott exit and u-turn to IH 10 westbound.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM starting Monday, May 8 to Friday, May 19. Detour to I-610 northbound to exit 18th Street and U-turn to access I-610 southbound.
