Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of May 19, 2006.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound at KATY FORT BEND RD will be closed on Saturday, May 20 from 7 AM to 3 PM and Monday, May 22 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
• Alternate lanes of US 90 northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed on Saturday, May 20 from 7 AM to 3 PM.
• One inside lane and the u-turn lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at US 90 in Katy will be closed continuously from 7 AM, Monday, May 22 to 5 PM, Friday, May 26.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Two mainlanes and the shoulder of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed from FRY RD to BARKER CYPRESS RD from 9 PM, Friday, May 19 to 5 AM, Monday, May 22.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from FRY RD beginning 9 PM, Friday, May 19 to 5 AM, Monday, May 22. Detour to Park 10 and u-turn.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp from BARKER CYPRESS beginning 9 PM, Friday, May 19 to 5 AM, Monday, May 22. Detour to Park 10 and u-turn.
• Two alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from MASON RD to WESTGREEN will be closed on Saturday, May 20 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from WESTGREEN to MASON RD will be closed on Saturday, May 20 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to GREENHOUSE from 6 AM, Saturday, May 20 to midnight, Sunday, May 21. Detour to the Fry exit and u-turn.
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage road from MASON RD to PIN OAK will be closed on Monday, May 22 from 7 AM to 5 PM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• The dedicated right turn lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at WIRT RD will be closed effective 5 AM, Saturday, May 20 until further notice.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound traffic between CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT ROAD and I-610/WEST LOOP will be reduced to one lane from 9 PM Friday, May 19 until 6 PM, Saturday, May 20.
• The I-10 eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610 southbound will be closed starting 9 PM Friday, May 19 until 6 PM, Saturday, May 20. Detour via I-10 eastbound to exit at Washington Avenue and U-turn to I-10 westbound to access I-610 or exit at Silber and take a right on North Post Oak Blvd to access the I-610 southbound frontage road.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed Saturday, May 20 from 6 AM to 3 PM. Detour via I-10 eastbound to exit at Washington Avenue and U-turn to I-10 westbound.
• The Contractor is scheduled to open the new I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610 northbound Saturday evening, May 20.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM from Monday, May 22 to Friday, May 26. Detour to I-10 westbound, to I-610 northbound, to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM from Monday, May 22 to Friday, May 26. Detour to I -10 eastbound, to I-610 southbound, to San Felipe and u-turn to I-610 northbound.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM from Monday, May 22 to Friday, May 26. Detour to I-10 westbound, to Wirt and u-turn to I-10 eastbound.
