Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures- Updated |

Below is an updated list of the this week’s closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of May 24, 2006.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at US 90 in Katy and the I-10 westbound to eastbound u-turn will be closed continuously until 5 PM, Friday, May 26.
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from PIN OAK to SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Wednesday, May 24 to 5 AM, Thursday, May 25
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound and alternate entrance and exit ramps from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to SH-6 will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM through Friday, May 26. When one ramp is closed, detour to the next ramp.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to BARKER-CYPRESS will be closed on Thursday, May 25 from 9 AM to 3 PM. Detour to Greenhouse and u-turn.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• The dedicated right turn lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at WIRT RD is closed until further notice.
• There will be a total closure of Bunker Hill northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight from 9 PM, Wednesday, May 24 to 5 AM, Thursday, May 25. Northbound detour to the eastbound frontage road to Blalock, go through the intersection to the westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill; southbound detour to the westbound frontage road to Gessner and go through the intersection to the eastbound frontage road to Bunker Hill
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM through Friday, May 26. Detour to I-10 westbound, to I-610 northbound, to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM through Friday, May 26. Detour to I -10 eastbound, to I-610 southbound, to San Felipe and u-turn to I-610 northbound.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM through Friday, May 26. Detour to I-10 westbound, to Wirt and u-turn to I-10 eastbound.
Please note that all closures are subject to change due to inclement weather.
