MULTIPLE I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE DIRECT CONNECTOR CLOSURES JUNE 16-18, 2006
"Motorists are Strongly Encouraged to Consider Alternate Routes"
(Houston) – There will be multiple direct connector closures in the vicinity of the I-10/I-610 Interchange this weekend, starting 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. A total of five of the eight I-10/I-610 Interchange direct connector ramps will be closed simultaneously. Motorists are strongly encouraged to consider alternate routes while the closures are in effect. A list of the scheduled ramp closures and the designated detours are provided below.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Take I-610 northbound to exit at 18th Street and u-turn to enter I-610 southbound.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Detour to I-610 northbound, exit W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Exit at Old Katy Road, make a left and continue on to Washington Avenue to access I-10 eastbound.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Exit at 18th Street and u-turn to enter I-610 southbound to access I-10 westbound.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Detour northbound to exit W. 18th and u-turn to IH 610 southbound to exit Old Katy Road; make a left and continue to Washington Avenue to access I-10 eastbound.
