Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of June 16, 2006.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound from MASON to PIN OAK will be closed from 7:00 PM Friday, June 16 to 5 AM Saturday, June 17.
• Alternate lanes of IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound from MASON to PIN OAK will be closed from 7:00 PM, Monday, June 19 to 5:00 AM, Tuesday, June 20.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage road from SH-6 to SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY will be closed continuously from 9:00 AM Saturday, June 17 to 5 AM Monday June 26.
• One inside lane of IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from WESTGREEN ROAD to FRY RD will be closed continuously from 6:00 AM, Saturday, June 17 to noon, Sunday, June 18.
• One inside lane of IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage Road at MASON RD and the ENTRY RAMP from Mason Road will be closed continuously from 6:00 AM, Saturday, June 17 to noon, Sunday, June 18.
• Two alternate lanes of IH 10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from GREENHOUSE ROAD to FRY RD will be closed continuously from 6:00 AM, Saturday, June 17 to noon, Sunday, June 18.
• Alternate lanes of BARKER CYPRESS northbound and southbound at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 16 to 5:00 AM, Sunday, June 18.
• Alternate lanes of WESTGREEN northbound and southbound at IH 10-Katy Freeway will be closed nightly 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM from Saturday, June 17 to Sunday, June 18.
• Alternate lanes of FRY ROAD northbound and southbound at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM from Sunday, June 18 to Monday, June 19
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes of ELDRIDGE at I-10/Katy Freeway on Saturday, June 17 from 6 AM to 3 PM. Northbound Eldridge traffic should detour to Dairy Ashford. Southbound Eldridge traffic should detour to SH 6.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND IH 610) CLOSURES
• Alternating lanes of BINGLE northbound and southbound at IH 10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 16 to 6:00 AM, Sunday, June 18.
• One inside lane of IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from BUNKER HILL RD to CAMPBELL RD will closed on Saturday, June 17 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
• Alternating lanes of WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK northbound and southbound at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 16 to 6:00 AM, Sunday, June 18.
• One alternate lane of WIRT northbound at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road will be closed continuously from 6:00 AM, Sunday, June 18 to 6:00 PM, Friday, June 30.
• One alternate lane of BINGLE northbound at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road will be closed continuously from 6:00 AM, Sunday, June 18 to 6:00 PM, Friday, June 30.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The IH 10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector to IH 610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Take I-610 northbound to exit at 18th Street and u-turn to enter I-610 southbound.
• The IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to IH 610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Detour to IH 610 northbound, exit W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
• The IH 610/WEST LOOP southbound direct connector to IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Exit at Old Katy Road, make a left and continue on to Washington Avenue to access IH 10 eastbound.
• The IH 610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector to IH 10/KATY FREEWAY westbound will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Exit at 18th Street and u-turn to enter IH 610 southbound to access IH 10 westbound.
• The IH 610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, June 16 until 5 AM, Sunday, June 18. Detour northbound to exit W. 18th and u-turn to IH 610 southbound to exit Old Katy Road; make a left and continue to Washington Avenue to access IH 10 eastbound.
• The outside lane IH 10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound at WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST. will be closed on Saturday, June 17 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
