Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of June 23, 2006.
CONTRACT A (HARRIS-FORT BEND COUNTY LINE to SH 99) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound and eastbound from PIN OAK to MASON RD will be closed nightly (Excluding Sunday(s)) from 7 PM to 5 AM from Friday, June 23 to Friday, June 30
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to FM-359 will be closed daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, until Monday, June 26.
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY northbound frontage road from I-10/KATY FREEWAY to FRANZ RD will be closed daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday, June 26 to Friday, June 30.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage road from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to SH-6 will be closed until 5:00 AM, Wednesday, June 28. This is a moving operation.
• Alternate lanes of WESTGREEN northbound and southbound at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed on Saturday, June 24 from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM and overnight from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
• Alternate lanes of MASON ROAD northbound and southbound at I-10/Katy Freeway in Katy will be closed nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM from Sunday, June 25 to Monday, June 26.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to DAIRY ASHFORD) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed daily (Excluding Sunday(s)) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 24 to Friday, June 30.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from WILCREST DR to KIRKWOOD RD will be closed continuously until 9:00 PM, Saturday, July 15.
• There will be intermittent lane closures of DAIRY ASHFORD northbound and southbound at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY WESTBOUND FRONTAGE ROAD from 10:00 PM, Friday, June 23 to 5:00 AM, Monday, June 26.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Beltway 8 INTERCHANGE)CLOSURES
• One alternate lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from GESSNER DR to KIRKWOOD RD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Friday, June 30.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• One alternate lane of WIRT ROAD northbound at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road will be closed continuously until 6:00 PM, Friday, June 30.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of SILBER northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 23 to 5:00 AM, Saturday, June 24. Northbound traffic detour to the eastbound frontage road to Post Oak northbound, go through the intersection to the westbound frontage road; southbound traffic detour to the westbound frontage road to Antoine and u-turn to the eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES

• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of I-10/KATY FREEWAY EASTBOUND from SILBER to west of WASHINGTON AVENUE starting 9:00 PM, Friday, June 23 until 5:00 AM, Monday, June 26. Detour to I-610 southbound to exit at San Felipe and U-turn to I-610 northbound to access I-10 eastbound.
• The I-10 westbound direct connector to I-610 southbound will be closed 9:00 PM, Friday, June 23 until 6:00 AM, Saturday, June 24. Detour to I-610 northbound to exit at 18th Street and U-turn to enter I-610 southbound.
• The I-610 northbound direct connector to I-10 westbound will be closed nightly on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 from 9:00 PM until 6:00 AM. Detour to exit at 18th Street and U-turn to enter I-610 southbound to access I-10 westbound.
• The I-10 eastbound direct connector to I-610 northbound will be closed from 9:00 PM, Saturday, June 24 until 6:00 AM, Sunday, June 25. Detour to I-610 southbound, exit at San Felipe and U-turn to access I-610 northbound.
• The I-10 westbound direct connector to I-610 southbound will be closed nightly from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM from Tuesday, June 27 through Thursday, June 29. Detour to I-610 northbound to exit at 18th Street and U-turn to enter I-610 southbound.
