Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of June 30, 2006.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to BARKER CYPRESS will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 30 to 5:00 AM, Saturday, July 1. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from GREENHOUSE will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 30 to 5:00 AM, Saturday, July 1. Detour to the next ramp
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from FRY RD will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Saturday, July 1 to 5:00 AM, Sunday, July 2. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to GREENHOUSE will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Saturday, July 1 to 5:00 AM, Sunday, July 2. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from BARKER CYPRESS. TOTAL CLOSURE. Closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 30 to 5:00 AM, Saturday, July 1. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from GREENHOUSE will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Saturday, July 1 to 5:00 AM, Sunday, July 2. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to FRY RD will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from WESTGREEN will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 2 to 5:00 AM, Monday, July 3. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from FRY RD will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 2 to 5:00 AM, Monday, July 3. Detour to the next ramp.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to WESTGREEN will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 2 to 5:00 AM, Monday, July 3. Detour to the next ramp.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to DAIRY ASHFORD) CLOSURES
Alternate lanes of the I-10/eastbound frontage road at ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 30 to 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 1
CONTRACT D (I-10/Beltway 8 INTERCHANGE)CLOSURES
Effective Wednesday, July 5 there will be a traffic switch on the BELTWAY 8 northbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY until futher notice. There will be two northbound lanes of traffic, north of the I-10 eastbound frontage road. The outside lane will be designated as NORTHBOUND ONLY for motorists passing through the Beltway 8 at I-10 frontage intersection and the inside lane will be a LEFTTURN ONLY lane to connect to the I-10 westbound frontage road and to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road. Expect delays in this area.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
Two outside lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at VOSS ROAD will be closed continuously until 4:00 PM, Sunday, July 16.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 30 to 5:00 AM, Monday, July 3. Detour to I-610 northbound to US 290 and U-turn and access I-610 southbound OR take I-610 northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to access I-610 southbound.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector Ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, June 30 to 5:00 AM, Monday, July 3. Detour to I-610 northbound to US 290 and U-turn and access I-610 southbound OR take I-610 northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to access I-610 southbound.
The I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramps to I-10/KATY FREEWAY east- and westbound will be closed nightly 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM from Friday, June 30 to Thursday, July 6. Excluding July 4th. Detour to I-610 northbound to US 290 and U-turn and access I-610 southbound; to I-10 east- or westbound OR take I-610 northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to access I-610 southbound to I-10 east- or westbound.
