Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of July 7, 2006.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• Alternating lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage between SH 6 and Grand Parkway will be closed nightly from 9PM, to 6AM, Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8.
• Alternating lanes of Park Ten northbound and southbound will be closed from 9PM, Saturday, July 8 to 6AM, Sunday, July 9.
• Alternating lanes of Barker Cypress northbound and southbound will be closed nightly from 9PM, to 6AM, Sunday, July 9 to Tuesday, July 11.
• Alternating lanes of Greenhouse northbound and southbound will be closed nightly from 9PM, to 6AM, Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to DAIRY ASHFORD) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes on Eldridge at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY beginning 9PM, Friday, July 7 to 5:00 AM, Saturday, July 8. Northbound traffic should detour to eastbound frontage road to U-turn at Dairy-Ashford, to westbound frontage road to Eldridge northbound; southbound traffic should detour to westbound frontage road to U-turn at SH 6, to eastbound to Eldridge southbound.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10 westbound frontage road between Campbell and Blalock and the I-10 westbound exit ramp to BLALOCK from 9PM, Friday, July 7 to 9AM, Saturday, July 8. Detour to Campbell northbound to then left on Westview to Blalock then southbound to I-10 westbound. I-10 westbound traffic to Blalock should exit Bunker Hill and U-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Blalock.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• There will be a nightly TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610 northbound Direct Connector Ramp to IH 10-KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound beginning 9PM to 5AM from Tuesday, July 11 to Thursday, July 13. I-610 northbound traffic should continue northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound, to I-10 eastbound or westbound.
