Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of July 21, 2006.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, July 22 from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Detour to the westbound frontage road to Beltway 8, go through the intersection to the eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
• One inside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from BELTWAY 8-WEST to BUNKER HILL RD will be closed on Saturday, July 22 from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed on Saturday, July 22 from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Detour to IH 610 northbound to W. 18th and u-turn to IH 610 southbound.

A Glimpse At Next Weekend's Work...
CONTRACT E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• Saturday, July 29 Williams Brothers Construction will switch traffic onto the new i-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between ANTOINE and west of BINGLE/VOSS. As a result, three I-10 westbound ramps including the Antoine entrance ramp, the Wirt exit ramp and the Bingle/Voss exit ramp will be closed until February 2007 while WB completes construction of the new I-10 westbound mainlanes in the area. A detailed map and detours will be released in the upcoming week.
