Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of July 28, 2006.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to west of Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of SH 6 northbound and southbound from MEMORIAL DR. to PARK ROW will be closed daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday, July 31 to Wednesday, August 2.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 AND I-610) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound U-TURNS at BINGLE RD will be closed from 9:00 PM, Friday, July 28 until further notice. Detour to the signalized intersection.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from ANTOINE and exit ramps to WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK and BINGLE/VOSS TOTAL CLOSURE closed from 9:00 PM, Friday, July 28 until February 2007.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound U-TURN at WIRT RD will be closed from 9:00 PM, Friday, July 28 until further notice. Detour to the signalized intersection.
• Two outside lanes I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from SILBER RD to CAMPBELL RD will be closed nightly 9:00 PM to 10:00 AM from Friday, July 28 to Saturday, July 29.
• One alternate lane I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound Frontage Road from ANTOINE DR to BINGLE/VOSS will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, July 28 to 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 29.
• One alternate lane of BNGLE northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, July 29 to Sunday, July 30. At least one lane will remain open.
• One alternate lane of WIRT northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday, July 29 to Sunday, July 30. At least one lane will remain open.
• There will be a total closure the INTERSECTION of I-10/KATY FREEWAY at GESSNER on Saturday, July 29 from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Northbound traffic detour to Bunker Hill, go through the intersection to the westbound frontage road to Gessner; southbound detour to Beltway-8, go through the intersection to the eastbound frontage road to Gessner.
• One inside lane ofI-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound from BELTWAY 8-WEST to GESSNER DR will be closed on Saturday, July 29 from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM and continuously from 5:00 AM, Sunday, July 30 to 5:00 AM, Monday, July 31.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramps to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed continuously from 6:00 AM, Saturday, July 29 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 30. Detour to I-610 northbound to W. 18th Street and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
