UPCOMING TOTAL CLOSURE OF I-10/KATY FREEWAY EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND MAINLANES IN THE VICINITY OF THE I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE RECONSTRUCTION

(Houston) –This weekend, August 11 – 14, 2006, the Texas Department of Transportation's Contractor for the I-10/I-610 Interchange reconstruction will totally close I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound and westbound from Silber to west of Washington, starting 9 PM, Friday, August 11 until 5 AM, Monday, August 14. Additionally the I-610 southbound direct connector ramp to I-10 eastbound and I-610 northbound direct connector ramp to I-10 westbound will be closed. The closures are required for the demolition and removal of two old direct connector ramps.
