Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of August 11, 2006.
CONTRACT B (SH 99 to SH 6) CLOSURES
• one left lane of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road from SH-99/GRAND PARKWAY to SH-6 will be closed on Saturday, August 12 from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
CONTRACT D (I-10/Beltway 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• Alternate lanes of Beltway 8 southbound from WESTVIEW to KIMBERLEY LN will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, August 11 to 5:00 AM, Monday, August 14.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be nightly total closures of BINGLE/VOSS northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM to 9 AM from Friday, August 11 to Saturday, August 12. Southbound detour to I-10 westbound frontage road to Campbell, U-turn to IH 10 eastbound frontage road to Voss; northbound detour to I-10 westbound frontage road to Wirt, U-turn to I-10 westbound frontage road to Bingle
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound and westbound from Silber to west of Washington will be closed starting 9 PM, Friday, August 11 until 5 AM, Monday, August 14. Traffic destined to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound will be detoured via the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound direct connector to I-610/West Loop northbound to exit at 18th Street and U-turn to enter I-610/West Loop southbound to access I-10/Katy Freeway westbound. Traffic destined to I-10/KatyFreeway eastbound will be detoured via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connect ramp to I-610/West Loop northbound to continue to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/Gulf Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East. Alternately, I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound traffic will be detoured via the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connect ramp to I-610/West Loop southbound to continue south to US 59/Southwest Freeway northbound, to I-45/Gulf Freeway northbound to access I-10/East.
• The I-610/West Loop northbound direct connector to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound will be closed starting 9 PM Friday, August 11 until 5 AM Monday, August 14. Continue northbound to exit at 18th Street and U-turn to enter I-610/West Loop southbound to access I-10/Katy Freeway westbound.
• The I-610/West Loop northbound direct connector to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be closed starting 9 PM Friday, August 11 until 5 AM Monday, August 14. Continue northbound to I-610/North Loop, to I-45/Gulf Freeway southbound, to access I-10/East.
• The I-610/West Loop southbound direct connector to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be closed starting 9 PM Friday, August 11 until 5 AM Monday, August 14. Detour to exit at Old Katy Road, left on Old Katy Road to Washington to access I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound.
