This Weekend's Closures -- August 18-21, 2006 |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of August 18, 2006.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to DAIRY ASHFORD) CLOSURES
• One alternate lane on I-10/Katy Freeway westbound from west of Dairy Ashford to west of SH 6 will be closed overnight starting 9 PM Friday, August 18 until 9 PM Saturday, August 19.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to SH 6 will be closed overnight starting 9 PM Friday, August 18 until 12 NOON Saturday August 19. Detour to the Barker Cypress exit ramp.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY HOV LANE will be closed overnight from 8:00 PM, Friday, August 18 to 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 19.
• Alternate lanes of Dairy Ashford northbound and southbound at IH 10-KATY FREEWAY will be closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, August 18 to 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 19.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of KIRKWOOD northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, August 18 to 12 NOON, Saturday, August 19. Northbound traffic should detour to the eastbound frontage road to Wilcrest and u-turn to the westbound frontage road, to Kirkwood; southbound traffic should detour to the westbound frontage road to Dairy Ashford and u-turn to the eastbound frontage road, to Kirkwood.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BLALOCK northbound and southbound lanes at I-10/KATY FREEWAY Saturday, August 19 from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Northbound traffic should detour to the eastbound frontage road to Campbell and u-turn to the westbound frontage road to Blalock; southbound traffic should detour to the westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill & u-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Blalock.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound continuously starting 9:00 PM, Friday, August 18 to 5:00 AM, Monday, August 21. Detour northbound on I-610 to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound continuously starting 9:00 PM, Friday, August 18 to 5:00 AM, Monday, August 21. Detour northbound on I-610 to W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
