Construction Begins on the New Westbound Frontage Road
As a result of the early completion of property acquisitions on Contract C2, construction of the new I-10 westbound frontage road from west of Wilcrest to Dairy Ashford is soon to begin. In the coming days, the contractor is expected to begin construction on the new frontage road in the area. Accordingly, the I-10 westbound exit ramp to Dairy Ashford and the entrance ramp from Kirkwood will be closed overnight August 24 from 9pm to 5 am. This closure will allow the contractor to shift the frontage road traffic to the south, creating a work zone for the new frontage road construction. Construction is expected to continue until Summer 2007.
