Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of September 29, 2006.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to Dairy Ashford) CLOSURES
One inside lane of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road from PARK TEN to SH-6 will be closed daily through Friday, October 6.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound and northbound on Friday, September 29 from 9:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Detour eastbound to Washington, U-turn and reenter freeway westbound to I-610/WEST LOOP north- and southbound.
• One alternating lane of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound mainlanes between Chimney Rock and Washington, including the exit to Wirt/Chimney will be closed Saturday, September 29 from 9:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Detour to Antoine and u-turn to access Wirt/Chimney Rock.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/Katy Freeway HOV eastbound and westbound continuously from 8:00 PM, Friday, September 29 to 5:00 AM, Monday, October 2.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound overnight from 9:00 PM, Saturday, September 30 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 1. Northbound traffic should detour Washington Avenue westbound to Old Katy Road westbound to I-610 northbound. Southbound traffic should detour to Washington Avenue westbound to Old Katy Road westbound to I-610 northbound, exit at 18th Street, U-turn and reenter freeway southbound.
• Alternating lanes of Memorial Dr. eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, September 29 to 5:00 AM, Monday, October 2.
• Alternating lanes of POST OAK DR. eastbound and westbound at I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Friday, September 29 to 5:00 AM, Monday, October 2.
