Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of October 20, 2006.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 TO DAIRY ASHFORD) CLOSURES . One inside lane of the I-10/Freeway Freeway eastbound frontage road from SH-6 to DAIRY ASHFORD will be closed daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday, October 23 to Tuesday, October 31.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES . Alternate lanes of the BELTWAY 8 northbound and southbound frontage roads from I-10/KATY FREEWAY to WESTVIEW will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM from Saturday, October 21 to Monday, October 23.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES . The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp for WIRT ROAD is now open to traffic.
. The two new temporary I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramps to BLALOCK/ECHO LANE and BINGLE/VOSS and the new temporary entrance ramp from BLALOCK are now open to traffic.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes of BUNKER HILL at I-10/Katy Freeway starting 8 PM, Friday, October 20 until 6 PM, Saturday, October 21. Northbound traffic should turn right onto the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road and turn left at Blalock onto the westbound frontage road to access Bunker Hill. Southbound traffic should turn right onto I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road and turn left at Gessner to the eastbound frontage road to access Bunker Hill.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the southbound lanes of CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAYstarting 8 PM, Wednesday, October 25 until 5 AM, Thursday, October 26. Southbound traffic should turn right onto the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road and turn left at Blalock/Echo to the eastbound frontage road to access Campbell.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound lanes of CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY starting 8 PM, Thursday, October 26 until 5 AM, Friday, October 27. Northbound traffic should turn right onto I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road and turn left at Bingle/Voss onto the westbound frontage road to access Campbell.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes of BLALOCK at I-10/KATY FREEWAY starting 8 PM, Friday, October 27 until 6 PM, Saturday, October 28. Northbound traffic should turn right onto I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road and turn left at Campbell onto the westbound frontage road to access Blalock. Southbound traffic should turn right onto the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road and turn left at Bunker Hill to the eastbound frontage road to access Blalock.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes of CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY starting 8 PM, Saturday, October 28 until 6 PM, Sunday, October 29. Southbound traffic should turn right onto I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road, turn left at Blalock/Echo to the eastbound frontage road to access Campbell. Northbound traffic should turn right onto I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road, turn left at Bingle/Voss onto the westbound frontage road to access Campbell.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES . Alternate lanes of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound frontage roads from MEMORIAL DR to POST OAK will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM through Thursday, November 30.
. One alternate lane of I-610/WEST LOOP northbound between MEMORIAL DR and north of I-10/KATY FREEWAY starting 9 PM, Friday, October 27 until 9 PM, Saturday, October 28.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound starting 9 PM, Friday, October 27 until 9 PM, Saturday, October 28. Traffic should continue on I-10/Katy Freeway and exit Washington, turn left and re-entrance I-10/Katy Freeway westbound to access I-610/West Loop northbound.
