Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of October 27, 2006.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to WILCREST Friday, October 27 from 10 PM to 5 AM. Traffic should use the I-10/KATY FREEWAY exit to Kirkwood to access Wilcrest.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes of BLALOCK at I-10/KATY FREEWAY starting 8 PM, Friday, October 27 until 6 PM, Saturday, October 28. Northbound traffic should turn right onto I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road and turn left at Campbell onto the westbound frontage road to access Blalock. Southbound traffic should turn right onto the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road and turn left at Bunker Hill to the eastbound frontage road to access Blalock.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the northbound and southbound lanes of BINGLE at I-10/Katy Freeway starting 8 PM, Friday, October 27 until 9AM, Saturday, October 28. Northbound traffic should turn right onto the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road and turn left at Wirt onto the westbound frontage road to access Bingle. Southbound traffic should turn right onto I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road and turn left at Campbell to the eastbound frontage road to access Bingle.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the southbound lanes of CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY starting 8 PM, Saturday, October 28 until 6 PM, Sunday, October 29. Southbound traffic should turn right onto the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road and turn left at Blalock/Echo to the eastbound frontage road to access Campbell.
• There will be one outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at WIRT RD closed Saturday, October 28 from 2 PM to 4 PM.
• There will be one outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at BINGLE RD closed Saturday, October 28 from 12 NOON to 2 PM.
• There will be one outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at BLALOCK/ECHO closed Saturday, October 28 from 10 AM to 12 NOON.
• There will be one outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes at GESSNER closed Saturday, October 28 from 8 AM to 10 AM.
CONTRACT F (I-10/ I-610 IINTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• There will be one alternate lane of I-610/WEST LOOP northbound from MEMORIAL DR to I-10/KATY FREEWAY closed continuously from 9 PM, Friday, October 27 to 9 PM, Saturday, October 28.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP northbound starting 9 PM, Friday, October 27 until 9 PM, Saturday, October 28. Traffic should continue on I-10/Katy Freeway and exit Washington, turn left and re-entrance I-10/Katy Freeway westbound to access I-610/West Loop northbound.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/ KATY FREEWAY westbound starting 9 PM, Friday, October 27 until 6 AM, Saturday, October 28. Traffic should use the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound direct connector to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound and exit Washington, turn left and re-entrance I-10/Katy Freeway westbound.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP southbound frontage road from MEMORIAL DR to WOODWAY DR continuously starting 9 PM, Friday, October 27 to 5 AM, Monday, October 30. Southbound traffic should detour turn right onto Memorial then left onto Post Oak Lane southbound, to Woodway.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP southbound exit ramps to Woodway continuously starting 9 PM, Friday, October 27, 2006 until 5 AM, Monday, October, 30. Traffic should continue southbound and exit Post Oak then U-turn to access Woodway.
