Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Tuesday, December 5, 2006.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes from SH-6 to ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed nightly Tuesday, December 5 and Wednesday, December 6 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
• There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at SH-6 on Thursday, December 7 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from DAIRY ASHFORD RD to ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, December 9.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• One inside lane of BELTWAY 8 northbound and southbound from WESTVIEW to KIMBERLEY LANE will be closed nightly Wednesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 7 from 9 PM to 5 AM.
• Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from GESSNER DR to BELTWAY 8 will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Friday, December 15.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
• There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from GESSNER DR to BELTWAY 8 from 9 AM to 3 PM through Friday, December 15.
• There will be a total closure of WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, December 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic detour to the eastbound frontage road to Antoine northbound and go through the intersection to access the westbound frontage road; southbound traffic detour to the westbound frontage road to Bingle southbound and go through the intersection to access the eastbound frontage road.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from WIRT ROAD will be closed on Saturday, December 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Detour to the I-10 westbound entrance from Campbell.
