Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, December 8, 2006.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from DAIRY ASHFORD RD to ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Saturday, December 9.
. There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at SH-6 on Monday, December 11 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The right lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from KIRKWOOD to DAIRY ASHFORD RD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM beginning Friday, December 9 through Friday, December 22.
. Two left lanes of the Kirkwood northbound at I-10/ KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 6 AM beginning Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15.
. One left lanes of the Kirkwood southbound at I-10/ KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly from 8 PM to 6 AM beginning Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15.
. One left lanes of the I-10/ KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road near Kirkwood will be closed nightly from 8 PM to 6 AM beginning Monday, December 11 through Friday, December 15.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from GESSNER DR to BELTWAY 8 will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Friday, December 15.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from GESSNER DR to BELTWAY 8 from 9 AM to 3 PM through Friday, December 15.
. There will be a total closure of WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, December 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Northbound traffic detour to the eastbound frontage road to Antoine northbound and go through the intersection to access the westbound frontage road; southbound traffic detour to the westbound frontage road to Bingle southbound and go through the intersection to access the eastbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound entrance ramp from WIRT ROAD will be closed on Saturday, December 9 from 6 AM to 6 PM. Detour to the I-10 westbound entrance from Campbell.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound entrance ramp from GESSNER will be closed starting 9 AM, Monday, December 11 until Thursday, December 14. Motorists destined to enter I-10 eastbound will be detoured to enter after Blalock.

BELTWAY 8-WEST CLOSURES
Please note that All Tollway Lanes northbound and southbound from FM-1093/WESTHEIMER RD to WESTVIEW will be closed continuously from 9:00 PM, Saturday, December 9 to 11:00 AM, Sunday, December 10. Two lanes in each direction are expected to open by 8 a.m. Sunday; all lanes expected to be open by 11 a.m. Sunday.
