Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Thursday, January 18, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between SH-6 and ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding Sundays) through Saturday, February 3.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The right lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from KIRKWOOD to DAIRY ASHFORD RD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Wednesday, January 31.
. The right lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from DAIRY ASHFORD RD to KIRKWOOD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Wednesday, January 31.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes from BINGLE to CAMPBELL and the westbound exit ramp to CAMPBELL will be closed overnight from 9 PM Thursday, January 18 to 5 AM Friday, January 19.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to SILBER will be closed from 9 PM Thursday, January 18 to 5 AM Friday, January 19. Detour to the Blalock exit ramp.
. The I-610/West Loop northbound and southbound direct connector ramps to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound will be closed from 9 PM Thursday, January 18 to 5 AM Friday, January 19. Traffic will be detoured to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound to exit at WASHINGTON AVENUE and use OLD KATY ROAD to access the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. There will be a total closure of I-10/Katy Freeway westbound mainlanes from WASHINGTON AVE CAMPBELL RD starting 9 PM, Friday, January 19 until 9 PM, Saturday, January 20. Traffic will be detoured to exit at Washington Avenue; to Old Katy Road to access the I-10 westbound frontage, motorists will be allowed to re-enter I-10 westbound west of Campbell.
The I-610/West Loop northbound and southbound direct connector ramps to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound will be closed starting 9 PM, Friday, January 19 until Noon, Saturday, January 20. Traffic will be detoured to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound to exit at Washington Avenue and use Old Katy Road to access the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to SILBER will be permanently closed 9 PM Friday, January 19. to 5 AM Friday, January 19. Detour to the new Katy Road/North Post Oak/Silber exit ramp east of the West Loop.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of SILBER northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY starting 8:00 PM, Saturday, January 20 to 6 PM, Sunday, January 21. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road to N. POST OAK and u-turn to the westbound frontage road, to Silber. Southbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road to ANTOINE and u-turn to the eastbound frontage road, to Silber.

. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of ANTOINE northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY 8:00 PM, Friday, January 26 to 6 PM, Saturday, January 27. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road to SILBER and u-turn to the westbound frontage road, to Antoine. Southbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road to WIRT and u-turn to the eastbound frontage road, to Antoine.
