Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is a list of the upcoming closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, January 26, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between SH-6 and ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding Sundays) through Saturday, February 3.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from KIRKWOOD to DAIRY ASHFORD RD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Wednesday, January 31.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from DAIRY ASHFORD RD to KIRKWOOD will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM through Wednesday, January 31.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road at I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM through January 31.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from BELTWAY 8-WEST to BRITTMOORE on Saturday, January 27 from 5 AM to 9 PM. Traffic destined for westbound I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be detoured to the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road to Westview westbound, to Brittmoore southbound, to I-10/KATY FREEWAY. Traffic destined to Beltway 8 southbound will be detoured to the northbound frontage road of Beltway 8 to Westview westbound, to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. One outside lane of Beltway 8 northbound from KIMBERLEY LN to WESTVIEW will be closed Saturday, January 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. Two alternate lanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST to CAMPBELL RD closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM from Friday, January 26 to Sunday, January 28.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of ANTOINE northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 8 PM, Friday, January 26 to 6 PM, Saturday, January 27. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road through the signalized intersection at Silber, to the westbound frontage road, to Antoine; southbound traffic should detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, go through the signalized intersection at WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, to ANTOINE.

A Glimpse At Next Weekend's Work...
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 northbound from 9 PM Friday, February 2 to 5 AM, Monday, February 5. Traffic wil be detoured to I-10 westbound frontage at Beltway 8 Frontage Road exit to access Beltway 8 via the northbound frontage road
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 8 PM, Friday, February 2 to 6 PM, Saturday, February 3. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to ANTOINE and u-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road, to WIRT RD. Southbound traffic should detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to VOSS RD and u-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, to Chimney Rock.
