Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures- updated |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Tuesday, January 30, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between SH-6 and ELDRIDGE PARKWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding Sundays) through Saturday, February 3.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
• One outside lane the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road at KIRKWOOD will be closed from 9 AM to 3 PM Wednesday, January 31.
• The right lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at the Turkey Creek Bridge will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM, January 31 through February 3.
• One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage road from KIRKWOOD RD to DAIRY ASHFORD RD will be from 9 AM to 3 PM, Wednesday, January 31.
• There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound KIRKWOOD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 6PM, Saturday, February 3 until Noon, Sunday, February 4.
• The left lane of the I-10/Katy Freeway westbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed beginning 6PM, Saturday, February 3 until Noon, Sunday, February 4.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of southbound KIRKWOOD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY 8:00 PM, Saturday, February 3 to 5:00 AM Monday, February 5.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound direct connector ramp to Beltway 8 northbound from 9 PM Friday, February 2 to 5 AM, Monday, February 5. Traffic will be detoured to I-10 westbound frontage at Beltway 8 Frontage Road exit to access Beltway 8 via the northbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to WILCREST will be CLOSED effective 10 PM Wednesday, January 31 through Friday, February 9. Detour via the Beltway 8 frontage road exit ramp to access Wilcrest or detour to Kirkwood and u-turn to the eastbound frontage road to Wilcrest
• Alternate lanes of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road from BRITTMOORE to BELTWAY 8-WEST from 9 PM, Wednesday, January 31 to 5 AM, Thursday, February 1.
• Alternate lanes of the BELTWAY 8 southbound frontage road at I-10 KATY/FREEWAY will be closed 9 PM to 5 AM Wednesday, January 31.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of WIRT/CHIMNEY ROCK northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 8 PM, Friday, February 2 to 6 PM, Saturday, February 3. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road, go through the signalized intersection at Antoine, to the westbound frontage road, to WIRT; southbound traffic should detour to the westbound frontage road, go through the signalized intersection at BINGLE to the eastbound frontage road, to CHIMNEY ROCK.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
• One alternate lane of the I-610/EST LOOP northbound frontage road from OLD KATY RD to HEMPSTEAD RD will be closed daily from 9AM to 3 PM, Wednesday, January 31 to Wednesday, February 14.
• The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound direct connector ramps to I-610 southbound will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, February 2 9 PM, Saturday, February 3.
• The I-610/WEST LOOP exit ramp to Woodway will be closed from 9 PM, Friday, February 2 9 PM, Saturday, February 3.

CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of BINGLE/VOSS northbound and southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY 8:00 PM, Friday, February 9 to 6 PM, Saturday, February 10. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road to WIRT and u-turn to the westbound frontage road, to Bingle. Southbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road to BLALOCK and u-turn to the eastbound frontage road, to Voss.
