Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, February 23, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. One inside and one outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at SH-6 will be closed continuously until 5 PM, Saturday, March 31.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound WILCREST at I-10/KATY FREEWAY on Saturday, February 24 from 8 AM to 11 AM. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road, to the Beltway-8 northbound frontage road, to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road, to Wilcrest; southbound traffic should detour to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road, to Kirkwood, to the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road, to Wilcrest.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Tuesday, February 27 to 5 AM Wednesday, February 28. This will also include the closure of the eastbound to westbound U-turn and the left turn lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage roads.
. The right lane of the westbound I-10/KATY FREEWAY mainlanes as well as alternating ramps between SILBER and CAMPBELL will be closed beginning 9 PM Wednesday, February 28 to 5 AM Thursday, March 1.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. One inside lane of the northbound I-610/WEST LOOP mainlanes at WOODWAY DR will be closed on Saturday, February 24 from 8 AM to 11 AM.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. Two inside lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes from WASHINGTON AVE /WESTCOTT ST to I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, February 23 to 2 PM Saturday, February 24.
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes from I-610/WEST LOOP to WASHINGTON AVE will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, February 23 to 5 AM Saturday, February 24.
. Two alternate lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes from WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST to the I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM beginning Monday, February 26 through Thursday, March 1.

A Glimpse At Next Weekend's Work...
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound KIRKWOOD beginning 9 AM Friday, March 2 to 5 AM Monday, March 5 as well as alternating lanes of the westbound frontage road between WILCREST and DAIRY ASHFORD while contractors facilitate the switch of the existing I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road traffic onto new pavement.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-610/WEST LOOP northbound and southbound direct connector ramps to I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Friday, March 2 to 5 AM Sunday, March 4.
