Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, March 23, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the eastbound mainlanes of I-10/KATY FREEWAY between ELDRIDGE and SH-6 beginning 9 PM Friday, March 23 to 5 AM Monday, March 26. Traffic will be detoured via the eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. The intersection of THREADNEEDLE and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road will be closed for two months beginning 9 AM Saturday, March 24.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between WILCREST and TRI OAKS LN will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, March 23 to 5 AM Monday, March 26. The exit ramp to KIRKWOOD will remain open.
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BRITTMOORE and WILCREST will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM, Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Friday, March 23 to 9 PM Saturday, March 24. Northbound traffic will detour to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road to Campbell, go through the intersection to the westbound frontage road, to Blalock; southbound traffic will detour to the westbound frontage road to Bunker Hill, go through the intersection to the eastbound frontage road, to Blalock.
. The intersection of FROSTWOOD and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road will be closed from 7 PM Friday, March 23 to 9 PM Saturday, March 24. Eastbound frontage road traffic will detour to Gessner southbound, to Kingsride westbound, to Frostwood southbound; northbound traffic will detour to Kingsride eastbound, to Gessner northbound, to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road.
. The intersection of CONRAD-SAUER and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road will be closed from 7 PM Friday, March 23 to 9 PM Saturday, March 24. Detour to Beltway 8 frontage road northbound, to Westview eastbound, to Conrad Sauer.

CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound DAIRY ASHFORD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Friday, March 30 through 2 PM Saturday, March 31.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of southbound GESSNER at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Friday, March 30 through 9 PM Saturday, March 31.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes between WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST and I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM from Monday, March 26 to Thursday, March 29.
