Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Tuesday, March 27, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE
I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound between ELDRIDGE and SH-6 nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM on Wednesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 29. Traffic will be detoured via the eastbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound SH-6 at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Friday, March 30 through 5 AM Saturday, March 31. Southbound traffic should detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Park Ten and u-turn to I-10 eastbound, to SH-6. Northbound traffic should detour to the I-10 eastbound to Eldridge, u-turn to I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound, to SH-6.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound to eastbound u-turn at SH-6 will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM on Wednesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 29.
. One outside lane of SH-6 southbound at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed from 9 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, March 29.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound DAIRY ASHFORD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Friday, March 30 through 2 PM Saturday, March 31.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BENIGNUS and GESSNER will be closed daily from 9 AM to 3 PM, Wednesday, March 28 to Sunday, April 1.
. Alternating lanes of I-610/WEST LOOP northbound between SAN FELIPE ST and MEMORIAL DR will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Tuesday, March 27 to 5 AM Wednesday, March 28.
. Alternating lanes of I-610/WEST LOOP southbound between MEMORIAL DR and SAN FELIPE ST will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Wednesday, March 28 to 5 AM Thursday, March 29.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE)
. One outside lane of I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound from WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST to I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed nightly 9 PM to 5 AM through Thursday, March 29.
The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector ramp to I-610/WEST LOOP southbound will be closed Saturday, March 31 from 6 AM to 6PM. Detour to I-610 northbound, exit W. 18th and u-turn to I-610 southbound.
