Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Thursday, April 12, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. The eastbound and westbound lanes of Old Katy Road at SH-6 will be closed until 5 PM Saturday, May 5. SH-6 traffic should detour east on Park Row, south on Park and Ride Dr, to Old Katy Road. I-10 westbound frontage road traffic should detour north on Park and Ride Drive, to Old Katy Road.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. Alternate lanes of northbound and southbound DAIRY ASHFORD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed daily from 9 AM to 5 PM through Friday, April 13.
. Alternate lanes of southbound DAIRY ASHFORD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed nightly from 9 PM to 5 AM through Friday, April 13.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The Beltway 8 southbound direct connectors to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound are closed until further notice. Southbound traffic should exit at Westview and remain on the frontage road to I-10 east- or westbound.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 southbound mainlanes between WESTVIEW and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY nightly from 10 PM to 5 AM Thursday, April 12 and Friday, April 13. Southbound traffic will exit at Westview and remain on the frontage road to I-10 east- or westbound or use the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge to Beltway 8 south.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 northbound mainlanes between MEMORIAL and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM Friday, April 13 to 5 AM Saturday, April 14. Northbound traffic will exit at Memorial and remain on the frontage road to I-10 east- or westbound or use the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road flyover bridge to Beltway 8 north.
. There will be periodic nightly closures of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound direct connector to Beltway 8 northbound from 10 PM to 5 AM Thursday, April 12 and Friday, April 13.
. There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8 and WILCREST beginning 8 PM Friday, April 13 to 5 AM Saturday, April 14.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound exit ramp to Wilcrest and the westbound entrance ramp from Wilcrest will be closed beginning 8 PM Friday, April 13 to 5 AM Saturday, April 14.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road between WESTVIEW and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 6 AM Saturday, April 14 until 5 AM Monday, April 15. Law enforcement will provide customer access to the Sam Houston Parkway Distribution Center.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road flyover bridge beginning 6 AM Saturday, April 14 until 5 AM Monday, April 15.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between BLALOCK/ECHO LN and CAMPBELL RD as well as the eastbound exit ramp to BLALOCK will be closed beginning 7 PM Friday, April 13 to 5 AM Monday, April 16.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from SILBER RD to MEMORIAL WOODS CIRCLE will be closed continuously until 5 PM, Friday, May 4. One lane will remain open.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE)
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound connector ramp to northbound I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed on Friday, April 13 from 9 AM to noon.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. Two middle lanes of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes from I-610/WEST LOOP to WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Thursday, April 12 to 5 AM, Friday, April 13.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound mainlanes from WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST to I-610/WEST LOOP will be closed overnight from 9 PM, Thursday, April 12 to 5 AM, Friday, April 13.

CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The Beltway 8 northbound direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed beginning 10 PM Friday, April 20. Northbound traffic should exit at Memorial and remain on the frontage road to I-10 east- or westbound.
