Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, April 20, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be alternating lane closures of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road between SH-6 and Eldridge daily from 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding Sundays) through May, 2007.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. The Beltway 8-West northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound will be closed effective 10 PM, Friday, April 20 until November 2007. Two designated detour options are available for motorists on Beltway 8-West northbound destined to I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound: (1) Detour to exit at Memorial to continue on the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road to make a right onto the I-10 eastbound frontage road to enter I-10 eastbound before Gessner or (2) Detour to I-10 westbound to exit at Kirkwood and make a U-turn to access I-10 eastbound.
. Alternate lanes of I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound mainlanes between Wilcrest and Gessner will be closed beginning 10 PM Friday, April 20 to 5 AM Saturday, April 21.
. The Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road between Westview and I-10/Katy Freeway will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, April 20 until 5 AM Monday, April 23. Detour at Westview to Brittmoore to access the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn at Wilcrest to access the I-10 eastbound frontage road and access the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road. Motorists destined to the Sam Houston Parkway Distribution Center will be allowed to access the business park via the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road.
. The Beltway 8-West southbound flyover bridge will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, April 20 until 5 AM Monday, April 23.
. The I-10/Katy Freeway westbound direct connector to Beltway 8-West southbound will be closed beginning 10 PM Friday, April 20 to 5 AM Saturday, April 21. Take the Beltway 8-West frontage road exit from I-10 westbound and make a left onto the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road to enter Beltway 8-West southbound from Memorial.
. The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound exit ramp to Gessner will be closed from 10 PM Friday, April 20 until 5 AM Saturday, April 21.
. The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road between Beltway 8 and Town and Country Lane will be closed beginning 9 PM Friday, April 20 until 5 AM Monday, April 23. From the Beltway 8-West northbound frontage road make a right on Queensbury and a left on Town and Country Lane to access the eastbound frontage road.
. The Beltway 8-West northbound direct connector ramp to I-10/Katy Freeway westbound will be closed from 10 PM Friday, April 20 until 5 AM Saturday, April 21.
. The Beltway 8-West northbound frontage road and flyover bridge will be closed from Queensbury Lane to the I-10/Katy Freeway beginning 9 PM Saturday, April 21 until 5 AM Monday, April 23.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BUNKER HILL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 9 PM, Friday, April 20 to 5 AM, Monday, April 23. Northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, to the Blalock intersection to the I-10 westbound frontage road, to Bunker Hill; southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road, to the Gessner intersection to the I-10 eastbound frontage road, to Bunker Hill.
. One outside lane of the I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound frontage road will be closed east of Silber through May 2007.
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at BUNKER HILL RD will be closed continuously from 5 PM, Friday, April 20 to 5 PM, Friday, November 23. One lane will remain open.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound exit ramp to BLALOCK will be closed from 7 AM to 7 PM, Saturday, April 21. Detour to the Bingle exit.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE)
. The southbound I-610/WEST LOOP direct connector to I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound will be closed on Saturday, April 21 from 7 AM to 9 PM. Eastbound traffic should detour I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound and exit Wirt/Chimney Rock, u-turn at the intersection and re-enter I-10 via the eastbound frontage road.
CONTRACT G (I-610 to west of WASHINGTON) CLOSURES
. One outside lane of eastbound I-10/KATY FREEWAY from I-610/WEST LOOP to WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST will be closed on Saturday, April 21 from 7 AM to 3 PM.

CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound KIRKWOOD at I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 9 PM Friday, April 27 through 2 PM Saturday, April 28.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of WITTE RD at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road beginning Wednesday, April 25 through August, 2007.
