Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, May 11, 2007.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the Beltway 8-West southbound mainlanes between WESTVIEW and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY beginning 10 PM Friday, May 11 until 5 AM Saturday, May 12. Detour to the frontage road.
. The Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road flyover bridge will be closed beginning 8 PM Friday, May 11 until 6 AM Saturday, May 12.
. The Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road between Westview and I-10/Katy Freeway and the Beltway 8-West frontage road flyover bridge will be closed daily from 5 AM to 8 PM on Saturday, May 12 and Sunday, May 13. Detour at Westview to Brittmoore to access the I-10 westbound frontage road and U-turn at Wilcrest to access the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road. Motorists destined to the Sam Houston Parkway Distribution Center will be provided officer access to the business park via the Beltway 8 southbound frontage road.
. There will be alternating lane closures on the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound frontage road at I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 8 AM to 5 PM Saturday, May 12.
. There will be daily alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from BELTWAY 8-WEST to WILCREST DR from 6 AM to 6 PM, Saturday, May 12 to Sunday, May 13.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between BELTWAY 8-WEST and WILCREST DR beginning 9 PM Monday, May 14 to 5 AM Tuesday, May 15. Detour to the mainlanes and use the Kirkwood exit.
. There will be daily alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound and westbound frontage roads from GESSNER DR to KIRKWOOD RD from 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding the weekends) beginning Friday, May 11 until Thursday, May 31.
. There will be daily alternating lane closures on the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound and southbound frontage roads from KIMBERLEY LN to WESTVIEW from 9 AM to 3 PM (excluding the weekends) beginning Friday, May 11 to Thursday, May 31.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. One inside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from GESSNER DR to BUNKER HILL RD will be closed on Saturday, May 12 from 6 AM to 6 PM.
. There will be alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound mainlanes between SILBER RD and WASHINGTON AVE/WESTCOTT ST on Saturday, May 12 from 5 AM to 3 PM.
. One outside lane of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road from FROSTWOOD to GESSNER DR will be closed continuously from 9 AM, Sunday, May 13 to 5 PM, Sunday, May 20.
. The inside lanes of northbound and southbound SILBER at the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road will be closed continuously beginning 9 AM, Monday, May 14 until 5 PM, Friday, May 25.
CONTRACT F (I-10/I-610 INTERCHANGE)
. The right lane of the southbound I-610/WEST LOOP direct connector ramp to eastbound I-10/KATY FREEWAY will be closed from 7 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, May 12.
