Upcoming Katy Freeway Program Closures |

Below is an updated list of the scheduled closures associated with the Katy Freeway Reconstruction Program as of Friday, June 22, 2007.
CONTRACT C1 (SH 6 to east of ELDRIDGE) CLOSURES
. There will be daily alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at SH-6 from 9 AM to 3 PM until Tuesday, July 31.
. There will be daily alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound SH-6 between PARK ROW and MEMORIAL from 9 AM to 3 PM until Tuesday, July 31.
CONTRACT C2 (DAIRY ASHFORD to east of KIRKWOOD) CLOSURES
. There will be daily alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at DAIRY ASHFORD from 9 AM to 3 PM until Tuesday, July 31.
. There will be daily alternating lane closures on the I-10/KATY FREEWAY eastbound frontage road at KIRKWOOD from 9 AM to 3 PM until Tuesday, July 31.
CONTRACT D (I-10/BELTWAY 8 INTERCHANGE) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound mainlanes between WESTVIEW and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY continuously beginning 10 PM, Friday, June 22 to 5 AM, Monday, June 25. Traffic will be detoured to the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road.
. There will be a nightly TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST northbound mainlanes between MEMORIAL and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY from 10 PM to 5 AM, Friday, June 22 until Sunday, June 24. Traffic will be detoured to the Beltway 8-West northbound frontage road.
. The I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road between LUMPKIN and BELTWAY 8-WEST will be closed overnight from 9 PM to 5 AM, Friday, June 22. Traffic will be detoured north on Lumpkin, west on Westview to Brittmoore, south on Brittmoore to the I-10 westbound frontage road.
. The I-10/Katy Freeway eastbound direct connector to Beltway 8-West northbound will be closed nightly from 10 PM to 5 AM, Friday, June 22 until Monday, June 25. Northbound traffic will take the I-10 eastbound exit to the Beltway 8-West frontage road and access the Beltway 8-West mainlanes via the Beltway 8 northbound frontage road.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of the BELTWAY 8-WEST southbound mainlanes between WESTVIEW and the I-10/KATY FREEWAY overnight from 10 PM to 5 AM, Monday, June 25. Traffic will be detoured to the Beltway 8-West southbound frontage road.
CONTRACTS E1 & E2 (BETWEEN BELTWAY 8 and I-610) CLOSURES
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CHIMNEY ROCK/WIRT at I-10/KATY FREEWAY Saturday, June 23 from 3 AM to 6 PM. Southbound traffic will detour to the westbound frontage road to the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss and u-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Chimney Rock; northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the signalized intersection at Antoine and u-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Wirt.
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound CAMPBELL at I-10/KATY FREEWAY Saturday, June 23 from 9 AM to 6 PM. Southbound traffic will detour to the I-10 westbound frontage road to the signalized intersection at Blalock/Echo Lane and u-turn to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to Campbell; northbound traffic will detour to the I-10 eastbound frontage road to the signalized intersection at Bingle/Voss and u-turn to the I-10 westbound frontage road to Campbell.

A Glimpse At Next Weekend's Work...
. There will be a TOTAL CLOSURE of northbound and southbound BLALOCK/ECHO LANE north of the I-10/KATY FREEWAY westbound frontage road from 9 PM, Friday, June 29 to 6 PM, Sunday, July 1.
